Connect Search Console and pull your first numbers

Four steps to authorize Google Search Console and start seeing search metrics on individual pages.

  1. Install and activate

Upload the GSC Metrics zip under Plugins → Add New and activate it. It joins the shared WhaleSoft.net menu alongside any other JSM plugins already installed.

    Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → jsm-gsc-metrics.zip
  2. Authorize your Google account

Go to WhaleSoft.net → GSC Metrics → Connect and sign in with a Google account that has access to the site's Search Console property. This grants the plugin read access to performance data only.

  3. Select the property and date range

Choose which verified property to pull from, and set a default reporting window — 7, 28, or 90 days — for the numbers you'll see on each page.

    Property: jumpstartmatrix.com · Range: last 28 days
  4. View metrics on a page

Open any post or page and look for the GSC Metrics panel — it shows clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position for that specific URL.

Common questions

This usually means the authorization expired. Reconnect from WhaleSoft.net → GSC Metrics → Connect, and check with your Google Cloud project's publishing status if it keeps happening.
Search Console needs enough impressions on a URL before it reports numbers. New or low-traffic pages may take time to show data.
